It's a shame Brian Donohue doesn't understand the value of small towns. I guess he must live in Monroe! Very Happy

This is how it starts.
Sometimes consolidation makes sense, sometimes it doesn't.
If I wanted to live in Monroe.............I woulda bought me a house there.

Merging townships, shared services, and consolidation...Coming to a Town near you. Unless you want your taxes to keep climbing and services to keep declining.

The services will decline for sure once a small town like ours is merged to a big town.

That's because bigger is better right? Just look at how efficiently Camden, Trenton and Newark are run. Thats what we need to be? Be a part of a large urban area? No thanks little old Cranbury runs itself just fine.

The facts are wrong. Cranbury has been in existence a lot longer than 1872. However, even that aside the ledger has been pushing for the towns like Cranbury to go away for years. It's their plain old bias showing again and again. Just look how they fawn over COAH and the need to keep COAH.

One other point, journalists are journalists because their only proficiency is writing. They are not subject experts or financial people who understand specific ideas. So it cracks me up when they editorialize because they don't have any knowledge. It's like reading a law journal and then saying I am qualified to represent someone in court.
