Let this Christmas Display bring Joy to you and help so many who are in need.

Christmas Spectacular On Main Street Cranbury NJ is absolutely beautiful in the snow. For those brave enough to venture out tonight you will love it!! We will have our fire pits going tonight!!

128 North Main Street Cranbury NJ 08512

Come and see the lights Dance to music!

Our Christmas Display will light up from 6:00pm and will turn off at 9:00pm. (SEE SCHEDULE BELOW FOR NIGHTS WHEN THE LIGHTS DANCE TO THE MUSIC) Dress WARM ALL nights when the lights are dancing with the music you will need to stand on our lawn. There will be no parking allowed in front of our house. Parking will be allowed just south of our house and also on Barclay street across from our house. We recommend car pulling with your friends and make it a fun night out!

Along with our over 100,000 Lights, on the following nights you can watch them as they are choreographed to over 15 songs!!

December 5th will be our LIGHT AND MUSIC kickoff!!

December 6th we will have world famous Grammy nominated singer songwriter Judy Pancoast preforming live from 7:00pm-8:00pm

Our lights will also dance with the music on the following nights throughout December.

December, 7th, 8th, 12, 13th, 14th, 15th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th, 31st.

PLEASE NOTE, All lights will be on from November 29th and will be on the nights not listed above however if the date is not listed above there will be NO MUSIC these nights.

Our 2014 display will include additional lights to our mega tree and icicle lights on the house!

It is free to come and see our house. Watch the lights from the warmth of your car or feel free to watch from our yard. On the nights with the lights choreographed to the music you can listen on your car radio (there is a sign posted with the channel) or you can hear it from the speaker located at the front of the yard.

Keep in mind we do this for charity, for those who are able we ask that you give generously. Due to zoning issues we can only have the lights and music together on 20 nights this year. That is 12 less than last year so we really need your help to make this Christmas Display bring the much needed help to those who need it. Let this Christmas Display bring Joy to you and help so many who are in need.

Thank you from the Shaw Family!

Yes we will be rain or shine we will have tents set up if it rains. Please keep in mind parking will be limited. We encourage locals to walk or car pooling. Parking will be restricted to south of our house, one block north on Goodwin and very limited on Barcley Street.

The sad part of all of this is the ones who need what this Christmas Display offers are the ones who will not be provided for. To date last year we had collected $427.83 in the same time this year we have collected $91.03. Tonight was the first night the street has been signed no parking and we did not collect anything....zero. That is the first time ever since we started collecting donations that nothing was collected. It truly is sad...

The zoning officer and zoning board in this town should be ashamed of what they have done with this Christmas Display. To prove the point just watch the video of the ruling and board member Mike Dulin and the way he talks to the Shaws. Having served on many boards I know that you should not be addressing an applicant like that. Very unprofessional. Mr. Dulin should resign if that is the way he is going to conduct himself. Why isn't every charitable organization in town under the same scrutiny?

On my way home I saw all the cones near the Shaw house and understand the police department was forced to do this by the zoning officer. This is such overkill. I hope this community does what it does best and rallies around this Christmas Display and supports the charity. Like the display or not it is for a great cause, I agree with Mr. Shaw the only ones that are going to get hurt from this are the ones who really need it.

The problem is not with supporting a good organization nor folks in need, the problem is the effect it has on both the neighbors and the community as a whole. Cranbury is a place people moved to because of a simpler way of life with nice neighbors and a more civilized small town way of living. If we wanted to live in TIMES SQUARE with flasing lights and blareing music we would have stayed in NYC. ----Remember the saying is: PEACE on EARTH not Chaos on Earth

Personally I am someone who is only positively impacted by the display unlike the Shaw's immediate neighbors and who has enjoyed seeing it every year. Its become a family tradition and I applaud the Shaws. That said, your post seems to be ignoring the fact that they had two public hearings on this where the Zoning Board listened to everyone who wanted to speak and where many local community members spoke against the display and about the negative impact it was having on them, not just visually and with traffic, but damage to their properties. Your post makes it sound like this was some unilateral action of Board members and the Zoning officer at odds with the sentiment of the community and that just wasn't the case.

I am glad its been worked out so the light show can continue and remain grateful to the Shaws for doing it. But I don't see the point in trying to vilify those in the community that tried address the concerns of the neighbors, as was their job.

I suspect the Shaws had hoped to put this behind them and that this topic could remain positively focused. Your post just risks igniting the controversy again.

It's small, but while I love the display I only have one issue. The singer is this Friday. We love hearing her, but the first Friday is always Santa at the firehouse and Town Christmas Tree lighting. This, I'll have to miss the singer this year. I appreciate your efforts Keith.

what the posts above do not take into account for is the fact the zoning board did not rule on law. there is no way if the shaw's took this to an actual court that this decision would be up held it was very clear by the members decisions coments and lack of knowledge of the law. The only attorney on the board Mr Hoffman who knows the law explained very clearly what the ruling should have been. To be clear on the neighbors. There were only two who spoke against and many more for. All the others against were not neighbors.

You are leaving out that there is a paid zoning and planning attorney who sits in on the meetings and advises the Board, as well as a certified professional planner. I don't believe Mr. Hoffman was a zoning attorney, and he certainly isn't now. The Zoning Board members voted consistent with the expert advise they were receiving. The rest is your personal, probably non-expert speculation. The volume of Cranbury residents at the meeting opposed to the light show continuing without modification was at least on par with those supporting it.

Glad it worked out so the show can continue. I agree with the above poster that there's nothing served by trying to raise more muck about it again, and certainly not with deceptive posts.
